Yeh what happened to the snapper section of this gurnard only competition ?
Really weird that LOL
What a good idea the spare day was and what a day it was , cheers weather Clap
But man was it cold Shocked
I wore 2 pairs of pants , 2 sweaters , a jersey , a jacket , overalls , a home-invasion style balaclava (apologies to that bloke at the ramp who freaked out when I snuck up behind him and said g'day Embarrassed )
2 pairs of thermal socks and a pair of gumboots that leak and soaked my socks .
Cold , numb feet all day but the rest of me was snug Ouch
I think most F-netters won a prize except me Ouch
Smudge has a photo of the F-net winners and if you're wondering what I'm doing in it , I'm just sucking the last of the mullet/squid/bonito bait from under my thumb-nail Embarrassed

COVID is no joke !
One former patient was so brain damaged after , he thought he won an election he lost by 7 million votes .

That fairly keen for this time of the year, it was -4 degC in the Waikato this morning, lucky comps up in sunny Maunkau. Sounds like Skotti needs new gumboots before next year.LOL

Beautiful day, great comp but man the fishing was hard. Moggy, Ski and me gave it death all day - even using special weapons and tactics. In the end we had about 12 gurnard between the three of us with the 2 biggest coming out of a desperate last minute I've never fished here before spot X. We fished almost til 2.00pm leaving precious little time to get back to the Hillbilly Mansion in Te Toro and drive the 45 mins to Manurewa. We made it with 4 minutes to spare.  Thanks Ski & Moggy was a great day out. Big smile

Here's a raggedy pic of a raggedy lot ... all fishing.netters. I think Barrie got heaviest of us lot with Wefaknis a close second. Good work doing all the weighing John....apologies for not getting you in the pic.

1.29 is probably about 48cm for a well conditioned fish. John Moran caught an almost identical weight fish last weekend and it was 48. At 1.08 mine was 46cm. At 50cm they are getting up around 1.5kg.
