We'll kick it off with this pic of two River2Sea Rovers. On the right, one fresh out of the box. On the left, the chew toy of a 50kg GT!

Good stuff guys!

CA, the Rover230's are very effective, and not too expensive either Wink. Let us know how they go in the Solomons!

Sean, doggies don't mind destroying tackle do they? Incredible that you stayed connected.

Mozz, is that a Duel Surface Slider? What did the damage?

Hey OB, have you tried to R2C "Doggie"s? I have a few of those with me this trip too, so hopefully should find enough to get some decent pics with.
In the rovers I have the blue and the redhead. Hopefully they won't get monstered by sharks too much (my main concern with using a slow surface lure over there, if it is slow, sharks climb all over the damn things!)

Hi CA,

No, we haven't had a chance to use the Doggies yet, but they look like they'd go well. The blue Rovers work especially well, and the green one in our pic above has also accounted for a few good fish (haven't tried the red head). Good luck against the sharks, we haven't fished the Solomons, but have had to retire a few surface lures after shark attacks in New Cal!

A black tip reef shark put an end to this well-worn Orion Ouch:

These pics aren't mine, they are from some members on GTpopping ( thanks Steve ) but I thought y'all might enjoy:

Carpenter Gammas take a beating and keep on ticking!!!

These lures were still being fished, and smashing GT's at the time of posting on GT popping... pretty amazing...

Nice little sneak peak at the weighting system inside too without having to cut up your own Gamma! ;)
