Both POB were looking off to their starboard, with us on their port side. They got to within a few metres of us before we noticed and 'politely' told them to 'please not drive into us'
If it was anyone from here- you were lucky. Twice. I know lots of people who would have dealt to you at the ramp for that. |
Yes I'm the skipper of the inflatable, we are on the way back to Omaha from Leigh, can see your boat flying as fast as a rocket and made a sudden stop at Ti Point to watch people diving there, we have to go around your boat to keep our way.
Mate you are so close to us, that's why you most hit us from left. Condidering your boat is bigger and faster and ours is just small inflatable, I regard that close is a bully. As the wakes made by your boat made us very unstable to drive.
Very bad to see that you still drive very fast when you passed the 5 knots mark at the harbour entrance, never saw people drive that fast with bow still high in the 5 knots zone, check out your speedo mate. Show respect to others, espicially to small boats.
You are a respected diver, but you are not a responsible skipper, a nice boat should be handled by a nice skipper.
Ohmaha is my home, show respect to her and her people.

On which side did you go around? The side closest to land? Closest to where people dive? If you need to over take a boat at Ti Point surely a smart skipper would give the widest birth to the weedline, I mean, Omaha is your home, you must know that's a very popular weedline?
haven't noticed that you then followed us we didn't alter our course or speed, you over took us to our starboard then veered to your port, how could you not have noticed us? from left behind which you mentioned port side. I notice a diver swam very far from land without a clear visible sign, yes, that guy was a muppet, I was going to tell him so, howeve he was exactly where I'd expect a diver to be, I have to turn port side to avoid the potential damage, and nearly casuing a collision, then I heard people yelled lound from left behind, since we didn't have a horn, we improvised, very "polite".
Mate you are so close to us, you put your boat in that position, that's why you most hit us from left, wrong, you nearly veered into us moments after overtaking. Condidering your boat is bigger and faster and ours is just small inflatable, I regard that close is a bully you're starting to dribble crap now, wipe your chin. As the wakes made by your boat made us very unstable to drive, wipe it again. Very bad to see that you still drive very fast when you passed the 5 knots mark at the harbour entrance, never saw people drive that fast with bow still high in the 5 knots zone, check out your speedo mate so we went a little further than the marked before we slowed down, I've seen worse. Show respect to others, espicially to small boats. Show respect to your own lives, don't try drive your 15 foot nothing inflatable into the path of bigger fibreglass boat. You are a respected diver, haha, but you are not a responsible skipper don't make wild personal attacks like that, herby was a responsile skipper all weekend., a nice boat should be handled by a nice skipper, again, wipe your chin. Ohmaha is my home, show respect to her and her people. I live in Ak, Omaha is my neighbour, |
