I awoke at 8 to see the sea looking like a mil pond and kahawai jumping everywhere...out came the surfcaster for a catch and release session...awesome fun . I could not resist the glassy conditions so I rang up my dear friend Isaac simmonds (jigkid) and invited him to come out for a k bash for the last few hours of the out going tide.

We got out there and first drop BANG I was on...after about 7 minutes colour appeared then we hauled in the beast...hugs,hand shakes and yehaas!. the fish weighed in on land at 18kg..a PB for me!

You don't need a big boat to catch big fish.
afew nights ago i tied a PR knot with no bobbin..yay

cheers,
Claude
