Welcome to the latest Fishing.net.nz discussion forum - The Boat Ramp...the name says it all really, so post information about your local launching facilty or ask questions about a specific loccation you are intending to travel to...enjoy!

PS...Andrew's idea below...good call...thanks!

"my idea after a rather disasterous exit from the water on Wed nite at Hatfields Beach (swell came up quickly in the evening, the winch broke and the boat was nearly swamped....at least the fishing was good!!) is to have a section on ramps where people contribute info on ramps they have used, such as conditions particular to each ramp ie tidal? steepness or anything else to be aware of etc. Since getting my new boat I really only know a couple of ramps that I feel are suitable as I have a car that I don't really want to rust and most around Puhoi where I am storing the boat are very tidal beach access. Anyone new to trailor boating like me would find this incredibly helpful as I don't have a data base of ramps to use and would help avoid situations like I got myself into on Wed."

Man you gotta love Spring and daylight savings... Ohhh almost forgot, Operation Big Reds on the 9th, Nov with capt Wayne, ya still in Kezza? will email ya with the plan and timetable, Hit em High brother.SQUID
