Just something to tie to get ready for the winter
                                      

 

            MASQUERADE MUDDLER

 
 
Tail.  Fawn. Polyprop Carpet Edging Yarn
 
Rib.   Fine Silver Wire
 
Body. Flat gold Mylar # 12
 
Wing. Polyprop Carpet Edging Yarn
           Bottom Layer. Cinnamon
           Middle Layer. Light Brown
           Top Layer.       Dark Brown with a hint of black over all
 
Head.  Estaz Chenille Dark Brown
 
Thread. Black
 
Hook. Black Magic B6.
 
1.      Wrap hook shank with thread from eye to start of the bend.
2.      Tie in beige Acrylic wool for tail.
3.      Tie in Silver Wire for rib.
4.      Tie in #12 Flat Gold Mylar for body.
5.      Wrap Mylar for 2/3 of body length and tie off. Clip excess.
6.       Counter wind Silver Wire Rib over Mylar body tie off and clip excess.
7.      Tie in the wing. Cinnamon Polyprop under Dark brown Polyprop with a hint of Black Polyprop over the top. Tie wing to slope back toward the tail.
8.      Tie in Estaz Chenille for the head and take four to six turns to form head. Tie off and clip excess.
9.      Form head and Whip Finish.
10.   Apply head cement.
11.   Go Fish.                                              Jax. March 2005.
