gidday Mark, glad you enjoyed the DVD's. I would recommend probably the JM500 for what you are wanting because of its ability to swing heavier jigs/lead than the JM400. Keep in mind that you will need to match the jig weight within 25% of the rod rating to successfully jig Japanese style. Let me know if you are interested in the rods ![]()
