Have just watched the 2 asian jigging dvds, awesome - thanks Chris. Can you guys tell me the difference between the 2 rods above? On the website they are both rated pe 4-8. I am wanting to use 37kg braid in the cook straight, mainly for kings but also puka, which one will be best? (I am a novice to this new style of jigging)
Will be putting a OJ 4000p on it.
Thanks

I am hoping to use my JM Terminator 400 on some bluenose next Friday in cook strait. Will let you know how it goes Wink. We may need a guy to fill a spot so if you are keen, pm me your phone number.

It depends on how heavy jigs you use on the rod. I've used up to 300-420gm with no problems on the TP 400 and I have been told the 400 is fine for up to 500gm jigs.

gidday Mark, glad you enjoyed the DVD's.  I would recommend probably the JM500 for what you are wanting because of its ability to swing heavier jigs/lead than the JM400.   Keep in mind that you will need to match the jig weight within 25% of the rod rating to successfully jig Japanese style.  Let me know if you are interested in the rods Thumbs%20Up

give it death!
