Thought I would post this up to see what odd ball fish you have caught on jigs or fish on odd ball jigs?

This LJ is not the hook dressing, it took a Gammie TU35 (12/0) hook in its mouth.  As you can see the jig is almost as big as the LJ.  The LJ would do well to even wrap its jaws around a bait fish that size.  What was it thinking??Confused
give it death!

Pony Liu or AG from Jigging Master sits on his 68+kg Bass from the 3 Kings 2006.  Look at the size of that jig to that behemoth HugThat jig would hardly be a slurp for that fish.  What was it thinking??Confused

And on a very, very bad hair day to boot.
Nobody has ever come up with a great idea after a second bottle of water.

I once caught a 10cm wrasse on a 15cm jig. It wasn't foul hooked as the 11/0 hook had gone cleanly through the upper jaw. My theory was that the wrasse thought the jig was another fish competing for its food (the hook).

Nope, ssp according to my book at least.
That is a very big flutefish! Get quite a few of them in tropical lagoons around the pacific, they are suckers for flies or soft plastics.

Cheers, Stu.

A Serious Squid?
Is that a different species? Like Arrow, Broad, colossal, and curious ?
:-)
How can ou tell it is a Serious? Is it the number of tentacles, or the colour of the mantle?
Cheers,
Stu.
