Spiral wrapped JM400,why not ??

After the sucess of my spiral wrapped calstar s/b rod it looks like ive convinced Kojak to build a spiral wrapped jm400.Will it work with the mechanical jigging ???
I think it would be an advantage ...no side to side reel slap
Great under a load..
Guide spacings wil be different due to the braid being under the rod and no chance at all of braid touching the blank..
So whats the word,yah or nah

I have been thinking the same thing. I have a JM400 kit to build over the next little while. Glues, threads and finishes are arriving in a couple of days.

It will be interesting to see what some rod builders reckon...

Were going to build it,after watching the dvds from Chrisw and seeing the huge loads on the rods  it makes sense to me.And it will doulble as a s/p puka rod for the ranfurly trip..Smile..kojaks got the gear so itll be done in two weeks
