how about the inns and outs for rigging your jig???

(on Nylon) one thing i like about snapper jigging is i dont use a trace the reason is a very light jig do's not have the weight to perform well if dragging anything other than the line around.....
(i will get to braid after)

the first thing i do is make a double, i like it about 1mt long......

1/  is with a figure 8 this is quick and easy, bit not as strong as a Bimmini twist which takes a bit of getting used to....


2/ The Bimmini..... learn it and you will be a better fisherman for it...


3/ i tie the double to the jig with a Uni Knot using both strands of nylon and making sure they are both even when pulling it up tight....

Ok so what's needed when using braid ?( I've always used mono with metal jigs )

The only thing I do differently to lethals demo, is put the loop of line around the handle of the reel, and wind the line tight so the rod has the tiniest bit of a bend in it, normally with the rod in the holder.

Then you have both hands and legs and everything else free to do the wrapping on the way down, makes life simpler. I saw it on a video or DVD with (I think) jeff strang, and it was how he did it.

The only problem is you can only tie biminis as long as the rod length.

one knot i like to tie the trace with is the three turn joiner, but with braid you need at least 7 turns........
last time i talked to Tiny he said he uses it to, but puts the line through the loop first, which ever way you use it the problem still arises with when you pull it up.....
it must be pulled up slowly and none of the turns aloud to slip off the front..
