Hello fellow soft baiters,

Silly question here but what knot do you use to tie the loop where th hook is on?

Cheers

Bloody hell Uncle... soft baiters stealing fly knotsLOL

You might better results under "Lefty's Loop Knot" named for its creator Lefty Kreh.

With my small excursion into SP fishing it's what I use and I landed a fish once LOL

I'd happily use anything Uncle recommends though.

The Lefty's properly tied is a 98% connection, not sure about the Uni....

I use the Rapala knot, which like Lefty's Loop, leaves the hook swinging freely. I don't know what the difference in knot strength is between the two.
Cicada or Uncle - any idea what the difference may be?

With one less loop to pass the tag end through, I will tie Lefty's in future (for the benefit of aging eyesight)Wink

Been using the uni for all my SP connections.
What's the cheapest type of meat? Dear balls. They're under a buck.

Nope, like most, when you get a knot that works it takes a lot to get anyone to change....

I also use the Uni Knot, it is strong and simple. Use it for most of my terminal tackle needs. The simplier a knot the less chance for it to go wrong.
