Just wondering what people's preferences are for lifejackets now, ie inflatable v traditional?

I recently replaced the canister on my inflatable so thought I'd activate the old one just as  a test. Yep it did still work. Heaps of buoyancy and kept the head well clear of the water. But I wouldn't have wanted to try and swim any distance in it - rather uncomfortable in that regard.
