Hi All, I’m new to this forum, but you’ve probably figured that already, another shock horror surprise maybe be I’m a relative novice when it comes to fishing…

Recently my young fella (11 year old) decided to give fishing a crack, and whilst he is a very active kid I want to promote getting outdoors and experiencing new activities… hence my basic knowledge is getting sorely tested..
Many many moons ago, I just to go fishing with my dad, surf casting off the rocks in Golden Bay, living now in Hamilton Raglan is the current training ground…..

So my question…. For fishing off he Raglan wharf, is it better on the incoming or outgoing tide?
I’d always assumed incoming (what I used to fish with Dad), but looking at he “bite time so it is suggesting outgoing is better….

Any comments or experience you are happy to share will be greatly appreciated

Cheers
