Hello all, I’m new to fishing and this site, I was given an average warehouse rod however I’ve managed to pull in a few small snaps and a baby kahawai and it’s given me the fishing bug.

Im looking at a new rod and I really like the length and the fact my rod is telescopic/ easy to get around, any recommendations on a good 10ft combo to get?
Cheers

Where are you fishing from, off the beach or rocks. Also what sort of budget do you have?

I'd avoid telescopic rods for all but very light fishing. Multi-section rods are just as convenient to transport, have better actions and more resilient.

Gday okay will do! Last thing I’d want is my rod snapping on me, I mostly fish of rocks/wharves in the waitemata and the shore bays, looking at a budget of about $150-200 :)
