Ok so managed to loose my Trinidad 10 set up the other day thanks to the crew so looking at options.

One being the CATCH ACID WRAP ROD & JGX2000 REEL COMBO
Anyone using these reels, any comments/problems?

Used for metal lures/slow jigs

Cheers

The rods are good, I'm undecided on the reels still.

The obvious option, although quite pricy, is an Ocea Jigger 1000 or 1500. Extremely similar to the Trinidad, only has the big handle and a spool lock, plus the buzz when line is taken. I've fished a 1500, really really nice reel for slow jigging.

Otherwise, if you're ok with lever drags, the next option is a Talica 8, or Okuma Andros 5N - ideally with the Andros you want the second generation silver ones.

Other interesting option would be a Poseidon (Kaveman may be able to help you out there), or maybe a Daiwa Saltiga 10H

Have you tried the latest JXG2000, a definite upgrade from the original jg2000 reel.
