Mid range light jigging reel?

I've got a budget of $250-$300. Looking for a jigging reel for 200-300 gsm jigs from the jet ski. It won't be used as my first option as softbait setups will be used most of the time.

What would your choice be....ir is there any for sale?

I wanted something identical, although it had to be left hand wind. I went for an Avet as it was the right price. It's done OK, but one of the bearings went after not much work.

Forgot to mention it's a spin reel I'm looking for to suit my rod. Although I'm right handed I wind left, so easy to swapđź‘Ť
Looking forward to to fishing freedom on the Jet ski..and maybe even catching a fish :-)

OK. I'm currently enjoying the Penn Slammer III as my all round "heavy" spinning reel. It is IPX6 rated, so ideal for the ski and well built. I have been using the 4500 with jigs up 150g (I like small reels). I'm sure the bigger models would be up to heavier jigging.

IGAB, if you are keen on a Slammer III - say the 5500 size (20kg drag, 97cm retrieve, and 300m of 40lb braid capacity), you could get one landed in NZ from anglerswarehouse in Aussie for NZ$280, saving yourself about $70 to spend on jigs compared to the NZ shop prices i can see online.
The 4500 that MB has is the same price in Australia, about 200g lighter and designed for PE2 or similar line. I have one that I use with 20lb braid for my heaviest soft bait set up, casting 1oz jigheads etc. Really nice reel for the price. Guess it depends on the PE rating you're aiming for.

RokkitKit, who is a prominent YouTube kayak guy out of the Gold Coast, uses Penn Slammer IIIs and really rates them for their robustness in very wet situations. He opened up his 3-yr-old Slammer in one vid and was amazed to see how good it was inside after nil servicing and a hard life bashing out through surf.
 
Marine Deals has the Daiwa BG 5000 for about $250, but that's got a retrieval of 120cm per turn, which may be a bit fast for spin mechanical jig?? Claims max drag of 10kg.
The BG doesn't have Daiwa's mag seal, so easier and cheaper to service, but supposedly not as sealed as the Slammer or other Daiwa reels.

Both of those reels are a bit over 600g, so about double the weight of a typical soft bait reel.

The Shimano Saragosa 6000 might be another option, though appears to be about $50 above your budget. Similar specs to the other reels above (103cm retrieve, 600g weight, 10kg drag).

For the rigours of fishing off a ski the Penn Slammer lll probably represents a really good option. IMO

Lol stop it Lester...
I've got a couple of Slammers and rate them for ski fishing. The IPX rating really helps.
But seriously Ski fishing adds pressure to reels in particular given the close proximity to the water and the speed you travel through it. I have fished other reels in your price category( stradic, roxani etc) but they just about need a full tear down after a big day on the ski.
The canvas reel bags help alot but they still get a lot of water.

I'm using 30lb at the moment, but have used 20lb in the past. Both are fine and no issues with capacity.

As a guide, I got 300m of Tasline 20lb off Kaveman (Forum member and online tackle) which is a really nice braid. Rated PE 1.7. That fitted nicely on my 4500 over a few metres of mono to bed down first.
One thing I've read with Penns is make sure you don't overfill the spool.
