Thinking of spooling an Accurate BX600N with this bacause of its high braking strain and thin diameter . Reason being to fit on a bit extra ! Anyone with any experience with this line ? I normally use Gosen , verivas or jerry Brown . Cheers

I had an accurate 600n spooled with the 50lb white for years.....just recently I was in the states and got a new gen 2 Avet JX to replace the one I dropped over the side last year.

I also got some Jerry brown 80lb hollow and swapped the Tasline from the accurate to the new Avet and put the Brown on the Accurate.

More suitable line weights etc.

I have been running the Tasline for ages so when I swapped I cut off 75m or so just for grins. I could see no reason to do this in terms of visual wear!
The Tasline is the thinnest most durable line I have used to date for its rating.....
Sure I am not firing it through the guides on a casting spin set up like I do with micros which is super hard on braid but none the less I am very attached to this line and hope not to drop it over the side...................

Tasline is one of the best braids around, that is why i stock it. It is definately becoming more popular with extreme fishing methods as you know what it actually tests at. , (written on each spool)

Hi Kev

What is the best size Tasline that you stock for a PE2-5 Topwater rod with Shimano 8000 sized reel?

I'm guessing 50lb that breaks at about 80lb.

Cheers

I've got that exact line on my Daiwa BG5000 (equivalent to the 8000 in Shimano) and it's lovely to cast with top water lures. No big kingies (so far!) but I like the line a lot.
Same with the lighter line classes for soft baits.
As Kaveman says, it comes with the exact breaking strain of that batch written on the spool.

It's great that you can source it here a forum sponsor now, always thought it was weird that the Elite White was only for sale in Australia, given it's made in NZ.

I've recently put Tasline Elite 30lb ABS 49.6lb on an Accurate BV2 400 for slow pitch and really rate it. Not sure how you'd go if you needed to target a specific depth as it's not color banded. Good for slow pitch where your hitting the bottom.
Tight lines

I got mine before Kaveman started stocking it, and ordered a custom length from Busted Fishing of 380m, and had line left over. I guess I got 300m on there - didn't overfill.
The BG has max 10kg drag, so I'm using it to target harbour kingies.
