Holiday time again and needed some where warm so after watching a Ifish show online decided Darwin and arafurablue charters for a 3 day offshore wander and tick off numerous species on the list.

cheapest way to get to darwin turned out to be fly into brisbane then catch the red eye for a 12.30am arrival , this saves mega $$$$$

The flight out of brizzie is tight / packed and 4 hours long . so beware....

stayed at the airport hotel which is a easy walk at 1am from the airport and gives you a sleep in before a wander around as the 3 day trips don't leave until 6pm

65 foot ali built for the area leaving cullen bay ferry terminal. with up to 9 anglers.  they steam out for over 9 hours to the area to fish which is WELL off shore .

manly bottom dropping , fish are stacked thick as if you don't get a bite in 10 seconds somethings wrong...and they shift.

2 days solid , dawn to dusk , 9 anglers and we quoted out by sunday night.  bass / trickys/ spanish / coral trout / sharks / cobia / sail fish / etc ....etc ....

well worth a trip , don't do anything less then 3 days , best times are July / Aug as the humidity isn't around . beware the aussies for drinking as they are non stop onboard.

3 day trip was $1800 plus flights  / accom. on land
