Day trip charter to the Chilliwack River for white sturgeon fishing and/or trout/salmon. Not sure about the seasons for the latter.

Cheers.  I think their summer is pretty good for many options.

White sturgeon sounds interesting!

Fraser River on the Big Island has/had magic salmon fishing by all accounts.
Should be plenty of charter boats to pick from out of the city even.
Fished a little with a WW2 uncle of mine across the boarder in the Puget Sounds many moons ago.
Beautiful area.
Water is cold enough that almost everything you catch you can eat.
Peace.Via superior firepower..
