Is there a rod that can be used for both jigging and stickbaits/popping? To match my daiwa saltist 6500. Thanks in advance

Big angry fish do it every week mate.

Pretty much any strong stick bait rod can be used for jigging if you want to do it that way, just means you will need to muscle up a bit on the jigging when pulling a fish up from deep and will have to be a bit more creative with your jigging action.

i have seen them livebait with stickbait rod but never jigging?

Could I do it the other way round. Using a jigging rod for stick baiting? Or is it better just to use a stick bait rod? Cheers

haha no go. you wont be able to cast very far with anything under 6 ft and its too stiff for sweeping the lure

Comes down to your budget really and how much you plan on using it & what range of lure weight you looking at swimming. There is also matching reel to rod factor to consider
