Considering the hassles of trying to stick on tiny eyes onto very small smelt flies I am surprised that noone has come up with a bead that has the eyes incorporated/printed or otherwise attached.    Or is there such a thing already?????

How much simpler would that make tying eyed flies.

Looking for weightless beads with eyes to make jigging smelt flies.

Cheers

You could try cutting short lengths of heavy Mono, and heating both ends, press the soft mono onto something hard, and you have a virtually weightless "dumbbell", tie in and colour with felt pen or nail varnish the ends for eyes, bound to be a video on google somewhere!!!
It is to be observed that 'angling' is the name given to fishing, by people who can't fish.

I meant having the sparkle stick on eyes already attached to a plastic or glass bead.    Had a long search on Google and found nothing of that sort.    So maybe there is an opportunity for some manufacturer to fill this gap.    I am sure they would sell well.

Snowkiwi   I made those eyes years ago for damsel nymphs

Love the good old Kiwi initiative stuff.

I meant having the sparkle stick on eyes already attached to a plastic or glass bead.

cutting short lengths of heavy Mono, and heating both ends, press the soft mono onto something hard.

On the something hard, maybe a bit of glitter or car paint peril.. maybe better the old school car paint peril powder... which is the same as the powder stuff ladies wipe on their eye lids.
As you press the semi melted mono down it picks up the powders.

Just a thought maybe worth a try ????

Thanks FH.    Plenty of stuff there but too much of a hassle to obtain it     I think I stick to painted eyes for the few times I go trout jigging.    However, I am surprised that no one has come up with eyed beads.

Not sure what you mean about too much of a hassle. . Ebay is basically the exact same as trade me but at a fraction of the cost. Oh well your loss!
