Hi all,
Now I know this reel is relatively cheap and is probably not going to handle jigging long term, but I'm just looking for something a bit cheaper to try out jigging for a while and see if it's something I might get into a bit more seriously in the future. So does anyone have any opinions/experience with this reel? Am I wasting my time with it? or will it give me a decent run and a decent appreciation of jigging? any other suggestions for a cheaper beginner reel?
Cheers

I looked at buying one and found good reviews, basically the same as the Daiwa 30T internally as it's a dead clone (which I ended up buying as I got a good deal). I researched them quite a bit, the drag is a little lacking, but fine for getting into Jigging and great value for money.

my experience with finnor gear is it tends to be a lot harder to break then other cheaper stuff.

Cheers for the info guys, sounds like I shouldn't get too much trouble from a Fin-Nor. Will keep a look out for a good deal.

I had one as my first set. Did the job on fish to about 15 kg but anything bigger I got smoked. Upgraded to a accurate/talon. But good to start with without breaking the bank

I love mine , very well built and have a smooth carbon fiber drag. Ive caught kings up to 14kg no worries and even used it for 3kg light tackle fishing in tornaments because of the high speed and smooth drag.
