Yep, Filoplumes are at their best in stillwater.

What the fck is a fioplume? Is it the fluffy fibres from the stem of a feather or something? Can see that thing looking very enticing with those 'legs' pulsing with a retrieve.

Inside every pheasant body feather is an accompanying down feather, flytiers call them filoplumes though I am told that is not the technically correct name. anyway, they are fantastic.  Very delicate to work with but is essentially a down hackle you can wind on. Dozens of uses.
