Hey guys. Managed to score one of these reels for real cheap from Ebay and it came with PE5 YGK not sure on exact age and details, looks pretty faded unless its how it is. I think i best to respool it just to avoid further headaches. Any idea roughly how much of PE5 Saltiga Braid it will take if i get 300m , probably pushing it? Am i best to buy more metres and that way I can get more for my buck, rather than having left over braid and no good for nothing else. Any suggestions are appreciated!
Cheers

Id go with what you are doing(300 metres spool or if you plan to do a lot of jigging buy a bulk spool and save money from e bay usa).....dont think you will have much left over from 300 m.......i bet the diawa(boat braid? rainbow right?) is thinner than the ygk thats on there.....compare.
Just make sure you pack it on tight(a tackle shop would be best)
