Sometimes the kings just want livebait over jigs. Does anyone have any preferences in terms of brand/size/style

yer I like the Mustad Demon Circle range too and used the 8/0 up north last week in Parengarenga using KY as livies, good hook up rates and strong!!

Thanks kev and Karl. I will get some 8/0 for jack macks and 10/0 for kahawai. I see they do a 9/0 so maybe a pack of those for both instead. Most of the local shops don't have them so will keep looking

9/0 Gamakatsu circles are great on jack mac. Fine diameter but plenty strong enough for kings.

Agree those mustad demons are beauty and priced pretty good. I use them for marlin livebaiting and xos bass on the twisted droppers. Bought some cheap korean made 8/0 mutsus at local lifting centre recently and they handled 3 kings  kingys to 40kg no probs too. dont ask me the brand
