If people are going to advertise for free on here...then they should look after this forum in some way and also its members....I have been treated great in this area by many.. eg tackle shops etc but there some mean ****s who dont or have just never even thought about it=LOYALTY. To them...All i have to say is = You have a nerve to come on here and advertise what you have and not give anything in return....This place is a big market.

Should be a law of 10% for anyone from here(otherwise advertise somewhere else and pay for it!Like i do, in the yellow pages!).......Many thanks to the "Goodies",Much appreciated.....Feel free to give your two cents worth.

So retailers that advertise in the new products and announcements are paying to do so is it stu? If thats the case...Then i stand corrected....What about charter operators that plug their business with reports on here?...Do they pay the site to do that? If they all pay,then that sorts the site out but when they get clients buying off them or using their services from members of this site...Whats in it for us?

The money us tas freaks spend Deserves some sort of loyalty in my eyes....I give deals to my customers...perks...want to keep my clients happy both financially and with Quality.Makes business sense to me! All of the above equals big bucks.

Charter operators listed in our charter section pay $20 a month.

 

The majority of businesses that use the rest of the site to promote themselves through the forums contribute - some don't but they'll be weedled out over time.

 

The retailers that support the site like Yeeha, TopCatch and WS Lawries look after forum members and help make all this work.

 

Charter operators like Damo on Diversity, Carl and Tobes at Epic, Rick on Pusuit, Geoff on Arenui all contribute significantly to the site & are bloody good operators too.

 

And lastly and importantly there's everyone in these forums that contributes something of substance that helps the rest of our community -  a report, some advice, whatever...

 

We're lucky, this country is blessed with more than our share of good people.

I dont question the quality of retailers(Generally)or charter operators and i have used some of the charters that you mention but what i have noticed is prices going up consistently and i know fuel is an issue(i have that in my business too)....I am not one of the more expensive driving schools...AA charge 65 and 70 on weekends....I charge 50 bucks...why? because i want to make what i offer, affordable to people on lower incomes as well(its important to me) and i am not greedy......with charters getting more and more expensive...its putting the cost out of the average kiwis pockets...which is a shame...There is more to this than  increasing costs="Supply and Demand"...At least this site is well looked after but its a mixed bag for the kiwi fisho.....At the end of the day...its how  much dosh you have...Money talks.Some people are good to you.some people are not.

When people ask me how much it costs to go jigging for the day...they are shocked but hey, i guess we are just addicts......Thanks for peoples input....Good to know these things.

I have been a professional Instructor in Auckland for 16 years(Auckland).I have always taught Manual(I have specialized In this)and for the last 6 years taught Auto too.I have been Driving 30+ years.(Before some of you jokers were even born!)...I was trained and became Qualified through LTNZ and had additional training from a kiwi instructor who had been teaching for 25 years...I worked for him for ten years(now own STREETWISE DRIVING SCHOOL)...He then retired and he was a great boss and a great friend(still is)....I am well known...especially at westgate.

                  As it is, i am already offering exceptional value for money at 50 dollars an hour but i am willing to give 10% Discount to forum members or their Families=45 dollars per hour....Why? Because NZers are crap drivers and Drivers need all the help they can to survive on our roads(especially youngsters).There are too many needless deaths with poor choices and lack of knowledge a key factor...it shocks me the number of drivers that dont even know their give way rules. 

Maybe,You have a youngster just starting out? someone who wants to do their Restricted/full test or an overseas conversion?....Maybe you need to refresh your driving skills/rules..Maybe you would like to be professionally assessed to see if you have any bad or Dangerous habits?I have done over 400 Advanced assessments on drivers(these are  no longer available thanks to LTNZ)..There are some conditions=

1.This offer is only available for Automatic.

2.Must have a learners licence or above.

3.No package deal is available.

4.No Cheques.

5.Must be in an area that I cover.

6.No interfering parents who feel the need to tell me how to do my job!

7.Must give 24 hrs notice of cancellation and not mess me about in this area.Eg Not turn up! That really bugs me.BE RESPONSIBLE.

8.Student needs to work with me..not against me.

I have an 84% first time pass rate for Restricted.The full test/overseas conversion has been going for approx 7 years....Only had 2 people fail that.

Dont know what you mean by this "laidbackdood you are really a 09er aren't you?"............................No doubt its a cheap shot you obviously dont  realise there is not much margin in what i do either But i am still willing to look after forum members....If there is so little margin..why would they be in business?The likes of top catch,ws laurie,smart marine...to name a few have been around for years...and they are operating on a small margin are they? Get real.They would never stay in business if they did.

I am Laidback bro but you have never met me,so are you not being presumptuous?I dont remember asking you to judge whether i am laidback or not!  Most special offers come with conditions..Havent you noticed?
