Hey Guys & Girls,
 
Here's a page to post your personal best's as you get them. It's a way to show off your growing experience (or luck!) & build up a history of your catches.
 
Cut & paste the following when you add a photo & fill in the blanks;

Well... went to Baywater this morning for a good quick fish off the wharf with some newbie mates. First guy to kick us off caught a baby shark... of all things... so we quickly dehooked it and let it off. My personal best this morning was a 30cm snapper... which right now is becoming dinner buwhahahhah

Repoman , that is a nice fish , though my first time fishing in NZ since I've been here for 3.5years I got lucky and hooked me 2 biggies and some snapper , I call it beginners luck as we were 3 on the boat and it took one of he crew about 5hrs to land his first size fish LOL
I really enjoyed fishing in South Africa , but since I got here , haven't really got any gear , sorta focused on spearing at the moment... though the water viz is absolutely crap at this stage of the season change , I might have to convert to rock or surf casting Smile

haha cheers mate - Not 100% sure but I think it was a baby giant trevally.

Got him on a damiki armour shad 3inch soft plastic. Smile

yep caught this bugger out at tangi, got another 2 a few weeks later all on my surf rod, one great fighting fish the kw

Method (Jig, bait, Softbait...) : small yellow tail hooked through mouth live bait seem to be the damage today .... lost a couple  due to trying to land up at the wharf found it difficult on light tackle, to get them out but all good fun was had .......

just the kahawai mate although there has been a few kingies floating around the wharf something took my small bait rod the ther day and gave a hell of a run we missed the surface splash so unsure what it was could of been anything a ray a bigger kahwai ...... as i said though all good fun down at the wharf hopefully get back down tomorrow for an afternoon ....

Method: Single hook dropper rig, whole jack macs, kys and big strips of mullet,5 - 7oz of weight, a hour and a half of fishing

Here are a couple of picks of my newbies PB snapper before he went to live in Canada.His name is Nic Coburn and both fish were about the same weight.One is a Raglan fish and the other is a Waikawau fish.
When people ask me how we got on I say..Yeah We Gottafew.
