Hi there,

Looking to buy my first ski and just wanted your guys opinions on the following ski's i've found on TradeMe.. - I've done my reading through these forums and on the net such as latest model and lowest possible hours that the budget can stretch too. Just hoping you guys with the trained eye might be able to pick one that is better than the rest and point me in the right direction.

4. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/boats-marine/jetskis/yamaha/auction-673966978.htm - (saw someone owns  this on FNET) - how many hours if you do read this?

Any help on the above would be much appreciated!

Cheers
Peter

I am a yamaha fan, only because it's fuel efficient, keeps me dry, smooth ride and can sit 3 if needed. if you can peeda get a ski all set up for fishing. saves getting the gear later on, and it will cost more if you don't.some want a ski for different reasons. if you are on facebook get hold of  jetski fishing  or jetski fishing channel both will help you..

Stay away from supercharged.  You say you want low hrs...........the skis that have problems are the ones that sit doing nothing. Don't be put off by a few hrs!!!!

Superchargers = higher maintenance and poor fuel economy. I'm sure an extra buzz but not what you want 50km off shore or trolling for the day. Yammies have been great to me with over 400 trouble free hrs on my first one.

Hey guys,

thanks for the replies! been checking out the FXHO's over the last few months. Have recently bought a house so jetski is on hold for a few months as I'm straight into reno's.

However, are there any differences/problems between the 2007 and say 2012 FX HO's?

Cheers
Peter

Thought a jetski was a cheaper/easier for one/more economical option to a boat....but seeing near new skis going for nearly half price on trademe, am I missing something? Also looking at buying a ski but rather confused......
Life's a "Beach"..........enjoy the ride!
