Try a pet shop Zimbo. Most of them stock flies and crickets for the reptiles. So where there's flies, there's bound to be maggots.

you will agree thou Bender that there is one clear winner on the day and by a good LENGTH at that!...

In all seriousness Zimbo...

HollyWood Fish Farm in Mt Roskill always used to have an assortment of maggots / mealworms etc destined as live food....they should be able to help.

Good one fellas.

Zimbo I dont think anyone is growing them here. I may be wrong. Now there's a good business for you. They are actually very easy to grow from all accounts. They have really bad connotations for most of us in NZ because most of us have seen them on dead animals and rotten and putrefying food or flesh. It dosnt necessarily have to be so. Its not the maggots that are so disgusting as the putrifying flesh etc. Believe overseas they grow them on a liquid diet of meat juices and other stuff and they only take 3 or 4 days to grow to the proper size in the right conditions. They are then washed and put into containers, sometimes dyed, the facilities are cleaned, and the cycle starts over again.

Crickets are good fish bait too. Likewise Huhu bugs but you cant use them on trout they are illegal I believe

Put your smelly old fish scraps in the bin and a couple of days later the bottom of the bin will be crawling with the little blighters.
