How long would it take in a 4.4 Bonito / 70hp Yamaha.

The Marine forecast for Saturday = Saturday: Southeast 10 knots dying out in the morning. Afternoon sea breezes. Fine.

Just getting back into it after quite a few years.
Am I right in thinking this forecast will be ok to get out and about from Sulphur point on Saturday ?

Cheers.

25 to 30 minutes.  in a south easterly you are better to travel close to the coast along towards Papamoa and then cut out to Motiti as south easterlies can bring up a bit of a chop offshore.

Just watch for the judder bars (canoes) along the coast as they could damage your gel coat if you hit one

I'm not boat owner - but I've been out near Motiti many times on charters. It ALWAYS seems to become fairly windy during the afternoon, whatever the wind forecast - and the sea gets up. Its a long way back from there, into a stiff souwesterly.

Its about 10 miles so wont take very long on a flat sea. Will be no prob in that boat should take about 20 mins. Good luck
