Seen a couple on trade me. Don't know what brand they were. Dont know what is the best. They've got the phat ones on Ultimate Lady! Kezza may know cos Matt was towing one behind the jet ski I think. Would love some (or some) too!

yer really want one too, big boats with towers have such an advantage with height because they can look down and see fish in the spread, have you ever thought how many fish you pull into the spread that you dont see, being on the water line its harder for smaller boats, would really be keen to get a underwater trolling cam too, what price are we looking at

Just to give you some ideas ours cost over 10K easily....probably closer to 15...and at least that again in R&D time spent fine tuning....

The ones you get from Kmart and the like are NOT designed to be trolled at 7knts....just ask any of the folk that rushed out and tried to get theirs swimming in their spread....

I am sure there are specialty "off the shelf" units that will do the job but expect to part with some big coin in the process.

PS...it also help to go to a place liek the Wanganellas whilst trialling said cameras....lots of opportunities!!!

I did some research for NIWA last year and as part of that we trolled torpedo cameras. Their cameras cost upwards of 20 smackers. But our backup camera was only 12grand.

The Strike footage from the underwater cameras at the Whanganellas is amazing stuff. Man ,the amount of times I've watched that DVD is mindboggling. My mate Robbie Lewis is the son of Fred who own's Ultimate Lady. I was lucky enough for him to loan me all the footage of all their offshore expeditions. That boat is THE fishing machineThumbs%20Up

You are not the lone ranger Saltiga.

Many is a time I have wondered how many fish have come into the lures, and we have never seen them..  on  more than a few occasions we have been trolling lures, then slowed down to chuck out a few live skippies...   and they have been taken as we fed the line out..  odds on, they had been following the boat/lures, but we hadnt seen them, and they took the live bait as soon as it was put out..
