Hey all,

I've been cruising the interwebs trying to find an answer to my question but keep drawing blanks. I got a surf rod last week that checked all the boxes in my budget range but it has a 3 second rating on it which I can't find an explanation for. I must be missing the key word in my searches. Can anyone tell me what this means? Thanks in advance.

BTW, the rid is an okuma soul surf 14 footer with the 14000 reel. Rated to 16kg drag and rod is rated to cast 100-200g. It's really nice to use even though it's only been out once so far and haven't loaded it up properly yet. Hoping to get onto some small sharks around BOP, early morning mission to papamoa in the morning for change of tide tomorrow. I'll probably just catch a cold but it's still better than work!

Cheers

If it says 3 sec, that might mean 3 sections?
Oh what a smasher - two eggs and a rasher!
