I know this subject has probably been done to death, but what braid in the medium price bracket do you guys recommend for throwing stickbaits at 10-20kg harbour kingies, probably looking at getting either 65 or 80lb. Was thinking of getting tasline elite, whats peoples opinions of it for casting?

I have it in 50lb and 80lb, and it's a great line. Originally got some Tasline Elite White for soft baiting, and liked it so much I got some for top water as well. With the 50lb I can cast lures from 45g upwards like a rocket. I know line isn't the only factor in castability and lack of tangles etc, but I'm very happy with it.

I don't have experience of Varivas etc, but I don't have any complaints about Tasline Elite White. I plan to get some 30lb for light top water.

I've been using jigstar hollowcore recently on my casting setup and am liking it
Not to rough on the fingers and casts a mile.
