Just bought some 60-100g lures to heave at snapper in shallow water ( 20-30m) and unsure as to how to attach to line. Presume use trace ( not sure what poundage) nor length nor how to secure- ie tie on or use clips to allow quicker changeover?
Found plenty of other info. on how to use lures but just not the basic bit.

Hi Angler. I use anything from 10lb-20lb braid connected to 2-3m of 30lb flurocarbon leader via FG knot and just use a 4-5 turn uni knot to the jig( i pass the leader through the jig twice before tying uni knot)
PS make sure that the leader sits side by side around the tie off pointWink
