Was wondering if anyone had tried fishing these with in line singles?
I used to fish the ocea stickbaits with them and they worked really well but the shape of the orcas looks a bit different......plus the oceas had a weight/rattle in them......not sure if the orcas do too.

Hey Jon, I have taken to the single in line hooks for stick baiting & it is a bit challenging but a few little additions helps heaps. As you know most stick baits are designed to swim best with trebles which helps to keel them. So what I've done is added octy skirts one the belly hook for smaller baits & on both belly & tail on bigger baits. It takes a bit of playing around with but works. Much safer for anglers & mates & easier to release fish in good order.

Yup that's the one Jon. Not sure if you've seen on here but some charter operators are now banning trebles, which is probably fare enough.

What did you use on the Oceas, out of interest? Everyone at the shops keeps telling me to stick with trebles.

They said that about the oceas mate but i prefered the shogun inline 7/0 on em.....they swam really nice....whatever action you put in ....produced different actions i found,...eg sweep.....stab.....rod tip down/up.

Hey - I used to sell Shogun hooks and have had quite a few left over from those days that I put on my Orca's.. it did effect the swimming on the Orca's. Was still swim able but Trebles defiantly worked better!
