Got two smith rods coming with me Chris, the ol GTK77 and the 80P/35.

Hopefully a sneaky GT will jump on the end of one of them!

Cheers guys, hooks in the boxes, two pair of sr plyers, couple of RAL lures already included so good for when the Williamson gets munched!

Good point on the wire in case of wahoo I guess....  Dont intend to jig much, more casting.

Well.

2 half days of casting out of denerau on Nandi charters. Lots of fun very hot but GT's hard work. We got one though and big mangrove jack, barracuda, walu etc etc.

Learnt lots and will be back for another crack, he got us out round the bombies and outer reefs in half day trips which were all we could manage with kids and family back at hotel waiting for us. Next time gonna do the full day trips and hoon out to the Yasawas, where there are apparently more fish who aren't quite so lure shy.

We raised a heap of them and hooked up a couple briefly but only the one caught, not bad size though. Awesome boat with good casting room at front and ability to cover ground quickly.

The big thing I learnt though is, not so many stickbaits, more poppers in bright colours next time. Kingies here are all good on the silvery greens and blue stickbaits etc I use mostly but the winner lures for the GT seem to be more the pinks, red and whites and poppers that'll make a bit more noise in the water than stickbaits.

I think I can feel an order for some bright coloured poppers threatening my cc.
