Hi All,

I'm off to fish Southern Oman tomorrow with a few friends - fishing Thursday and Friday

The fishing has been great down there recently with good catches of huge GT's; hopefully we will get into some big AJ's if there about..

If you have wondered why the fishing is usually so good there, check out the chart below showing the immediate area around the islands...in fathoms (add this to a favorable water temp!!!!)

Weather looks good so far...so here's hoping...

Mate, its an awesome place...report is here.. http://alantani.com/index.php?topic=3909.0
We only had 2 days..but I'm going back in Oct - lots of fun some big fish.. let me know if you come up and we can catch up..Musandam is not a bad place either (Northern Oman)..like anywhere you really want the ideal conditions...the difference here is simply that the fish are huge (GT's).. If you do come up you want to give yourelf a 7 day window if you can in case of weather etc...the islands are about 50-70km off..if you want specific info on the place just let me know..

Great this is just what I wanted to see and hear, this will be a trip I will do but sadly not this year as our fishing schedule is jam packed for the year. I will be sure to contact you before we start planning our trip.
For interests sake what was the rough cost for the charter per day?
