Nope different mate...we've been testing them for a few months...they are a sweet off-the-shelf bait - just add water! Nicely priced and caught plenty....choice colours and hardware....first shipment due soon - i'll post images and specs on our website in a few weeks!

Kezza, do these have a internal weight system like the Shibuki? Cool to see the Japanese Shimano products making it here.

Heya guys, got given one of the 2oz ones for Fathers Day, thanks kids

I need to change the trebles to singles if I want to use these at any of our club fishes (2 hooks max. per rod), so what hook should I be looking to replace the trebles with?

Sorry i am not aware of the length of the 2oz but i use 7/0(in the pic there is 8/0 and found they were a bit big) on the shimano ocea pencils 185mm and on the starwalkers too(bigger ones).....i dont know if they do smaller ones in those in line jig hooks.

2oz is 155mm i think.

I'l look at the 6/0's, have an 8/0 decoy inline at home but that's way too big.

Edit B- 6/0s ....Sounds about right...maybe 8 or 9 mm owner splits....would suggest you leave them on the lure....rinse and inox after use(opening and closing the splits all the time will weaken them)Wink

I wasn't planning on changing the splits, was just going to change the hooks...  will have to see what size owners I have in the drawer.

@laidbackdood: how did you find the singles affected the action?
Was speaking with the guys at WSLaurie about their inline singles and putting them on this lure and they said the lure action was tank designed to swim with the trebles and singles may change the action.

looks like i'll end up with 7/0 shogun vipers from gofish to replace the trebles when I'm club fishing. Othertimes I'll use the trebles with crushed barbs.

I experimented with these and the starwalkers....it says on the blurb they can take 3/0 or 4/0 trebles......I tried 4/0 on the starwalkers and found they took too long to come back to surface(floaters) and point up....tried 3/0 and was better but have found both of the above swim better with the inline singles.....The pencil has rattles too and come back to surface pretty quick ,once you have finished your sweep....have a play and see how you go.....have a play with your retrieve too...i found short stabs were good for getting action out of it.
                 you could always try a treble underneath and a single off the back....caught a king last week with a stickbait configured like that..A skip told me not to weigh the back end down.good luckWink

Interesting Will definitely be playing with the configuration. The PITA bit is the 2 hook IGFA rule the club uses. Will also play with a baker belly hook and lead sinker tail...
