Definately water there at all tides but not that easy to hold onto boats etc and a sou wester blowing straight in can be nasty.

Good handy ramp tho and not much point driving anywhere else, The 3 other ramps within about 2 min by boat will take at least 30 min to drive to by car.

Glenbrook ramp used to have a bad name for low tide launching and loading.
Ideal for small boats but when they sneak up in size at low water it can be a problem.
Waiau Pa and Te Toro are really good ramps and you can work them all tides, they have at least two lanes and pontoons for lying alongside.
The Waiau Pa membership fee is peanuts and the money goes to maintaining a really good facility.
How big a boat do you have? It is a long drive to Waiau Pa from Glenbrook, but if you can fish with the tides for launching you will get a lot of fun on the Manukau.

cheers don, well looks like i m not heading that far afterall have found something nice and plenty of garaging and take the dog in pukekohe so whilst glenbrook beach would of been nice did have to consider dog (spoilt dog and cat) but might join waiau pa was told it was a better ramp but members only.not the biggest tug in the world little 13 ft 2 sea nymphBig smile
