I've got the 450c, very happy with it, although already sceaming how to get up to something like the 570. I can't compare any pros/cons with other boats as this is my first. In the mean time the 450 is keeping us happy and getting me out to fishing grounds that are out of reach of my kayak.

Sorry FizFisho - not wanting to hi-jack your focus on the 570.  Just one question for Shanedog ... did you fit a 40hp or up, 2 or 4 stroke? 450c looks to have reasonable weight with 4mm hull. Perhaps a 50 2-stroke would be best?

I've got a merc 40hp 2/s on mine. It's fine when just fishing but could do with a bit more when loaded up with divers and gear to help get it up and on the plane.

on a 450 personally id only go a 50hp 3 cyl yamaha, propped and foiled for hole shot.

4 stroke like dna like, ie honda are ok, but they darn heavy, have poor hole shot and are just under powered for anything more than 2 up. thats my opinion. id apply that to a RIB or any Allly pontoon.

If all you do is a to b and ur alone a lot, u might get away with a 40 4, but personally i dont see any benefit given the power to weight ratio of the yamaha 2, needing far less revs for the same speed and when needed intensely more hole shot.

just my opinion.

2 cylinder is a nice cheap option but like ur feeling the power isnt there. but try a foil and a prop for hole shot, u might find it makes just enough difference for you.

I havnt heard much about DNA boats, But frewza make a very similar version of this. Frewza f18. 5.7m hard top with a 90hp 4stroke brand new for around the 45k mark. I know a couple of people with them and they are very happy with them. Easily saving about 10k+ from a DNA
