Hi
I am looking @ getting a bigger boat than my current boat.Had a look @ the range of Bluefin boats made by Sportcraft boats seems to be a lot of boat for value for money.I would be interested in people that own one of the mentioned models what there opinion are of them or people that have owned them.The feature that got the biggest tick from my wife was the separate toilet & shower on both the 720 & 769 weekender models.Any feed back would be good.

I have had plenty of responses to my posts - either no owners on forum which is unlikely - should this be in general fishing topics section the boat shed? Try listing again under there? Cheers

ive been in the smaller version Zap weather was calm that day so cant tell you how they are in the rough,

i would make sure i visited some of the other boat dealers that are selling boat of this size and ask lots of question,
thickness of hull for one, total weight of boat would also give you an idea of how much metal is in the boat for strength,
check out these 4 first McLays/Surtees/Senator/Ramco or even a White Pointer if your pocket can handle it,
 they may be more expensive but there is normally a reason, thicker hull more support internally/externally, lots of little things which can increase the price which your not aware of,
dash lay out, overhead lay out, windows, do they block your vision, can you put your head out the side window, is the wiring going to full down how is it hidden can you get to it if needed,
can you stand on the roof, how much support is there when walking around the side,
once you have looked at other similar boats, it will give you an idea at least on what else is available...
sometimes even second hand is ok...

Or indeed an Allenco, or a Marco for a more normal production boat. Allenco will build you a boat to your own specs, you get a lot of say in just what you get.

Owners opinions are often pretty biased because they don't want to devalue their own boats....The bluefins have a 17 degree deadrise and blunt entry, take one out for a test ride into a decent head sea. Then see if you can take out a Southern Sports or similar deep v fine entry boat on a similar day.

A mate of mine had a 769, they can be a bit of a handful in following seas when it get rough. Otherwise it seemed pretty well behaved.

Thanks for the advice lethal.
I have been gathering a lot of spec info from different boat brands still have few brands to check out & compare.
It's a difficult task as like anyone else you want to get the best value for your money & having a large tick list of what we want in a boat makes it harder.Definetly will be looking @ new & second had options.
