Hi All. Looking at getting my first boat after fishing off a jetski for a while. Will be fishing solo or with 1 or 2 others, mainly fishing out of Napier and using the Sailing club launch ramps. Looking at glass boats rather than alloy, thinking behind this is back can't take much impact and glass gives a better ride.
Looking at boats around the 4.5-5.5m range up to around 12k
Theres a few Haines Sig 1550, Buccaneer 450-510 sport and cabin and Bonitos on the market
The ones I'm looking at all have 90-115hp outboards, around 450hrs, but are mid 80's - early 90's
Also a Bonito 485 Chico which is a later model, with a later motor (2000's)
Is one brand/model better riding than the other?
Has anyone tried/been out in a Chico 485? do they ride as well as the other boats?
