All i would do Ben is give em a deep slim or jigstar jig, these ones come back up through the water a bit easier, they dont necassarily work better at slow speeds but they will not wear the anglers out as much. Get em to work on technique, if they get it right it wont matter that their not going flat out. Better rods and reels help as well keep everything as light as possible, the new Hots rods that Chris is getting will be ideal, they have heaps of grunt and are much lighter than a JM or a Tcurve.
