May 2006

Greetings fisher people,

Last comp was a blast, lots of fine fish, lots of happy people and lots of slimy eels, oh come on guys! Talk about desperados!

Ladies are doing extremely well with Jackie on top of the leader board and Tessa hot on her heels, time to biff the lippy girls and don the wellies, the race is on.

Leading the mens is Phil, and Graham’s a close 2nd.

Francis has made a comeback and is leading the juniors.

On a sad note, Mrs Shapley died last week, she was a member of our club for many years, and although many of us never met her, we really valued her support, a card has been sent on behalf of the club.

NZACA Trophies, if you read your manual, you will see many trophies up for grabs, these get given out at the yearly Nationals, Graham, our weigh master is fully aware and will advise you when there is notable fish caught for entries, a lot of these trophies never get given out, which is a shame, so if you think you’re on to a winner give Graham a call.

Monthly Meetings are held at the RSA on the 1st Tues of every month, members are most welcome to attend, have a bite to eat and a few drinks with us.

Happy Birthday Sophie and Danny
