World Record Snapper Claim

A World Record claim has been filed by Karen Kerr from Whitianga who recently boated a 3.86 kilo snapper on 1 kilo line at the 43 metre mark out near Great Mercury Island. The snapper took 1 Hr 45 mins to land on a whole squid for bait. Karen previously held this World Record at 1.1 kilos several years ago.That weight was beaten subsequently however this catch will return the record to Karen if ratified by the IGFA
