The new Cortex VHF

Vesper’s innovative new Cortex is the world's most advanced VHF with built-in smartAIS SOTDMA transponder and its remote monitoring solution, in combination with the powerful Cortex Monitoring App, provides incredible peace of mind for skippers who are away from their vessels.

The clever Anchor Watch feature allows skippers to confidently explore ashore or sleep soundly onboard, knowing they will be immediately alerted should their boat move. In addition, skippers can opt to receive alerts should there be any change in water depth, wind speed or direction while at anchor.

Using its unique Geofence feature, Cortex will guard against theft by detecting whether a trailer boat is moved when it is supposed to be stationary, or if a boat has broken free from its mooring, and send notifications directly to your mobile. In conjunction with pressure sensors underneath the deck, doors or hatches, Cortex will also notify you if any unwanted guests board.

Cortex gives complete peace of mind by monitoring and reporting on a variety of on board systems and sending alerts if any problems are identified,. These include bilge pump activation and frequency, battery charging and shore power connections. Cortex checks that fridges and freezers have been left connected so food or bait won't spoil and monitors fuel and water tank levels and the batteries’ state of charge so that skippers can be confident the vessel is fuelled and charged and ready to go.

Cortex can also monitor barometric pressure, wind indicators and temperature and humidity sensors to report on the current weather situation at the vessel. Connected to gas and temperature sensors, you can control and remotely turn on ventilation if required.
