The Launch and Retrieve Boat Latch

The Launch and Retrieve Boat Latch

More often than not, launching and retrieving a boat can be unnecessarily stressful however. The Launch and Retrieve Boat Latch helps minimise the fuss and makes another potentially tricky job simple. The product has been on the market now for 14 years and has stood the test of time making life easy at the boat-ramp for many happy customers.

To launch it’s as simple as this:

  • Set latch to ‘Retrieve’ position.
  • Release safety chain and release winch cable, so the boat slides back and is caught by the latch and set the latch lever to the 'Launch' position.
  • The boat and trailer are reversed into the water to a point where the rear rollers are about 50mm underwater.
  • Nudge the boat forward gently so the spring loaded catch automatically releases, then reverse or glide off the trailer.

Retrieving is about as straightforward and you can get more information here. See what customers have to say about their experiences with The Launch and Retrieve Boat Latch here.

When it comes to installation, it’s very straightforward. There’s no new holes or welding required in your boat as the Launch and Retrieve Boat Latch works with existing componentry. There are also a range of sizes available for various length/models of both fiberglass and aluminium boats and several dealers around New Zealand who can assist with purchase and installation.
