StructureScan 3D imaging from Simrad

Simrad Yachting has released a first-look video demonstrating its new StructureScan® 3D sonar imaging module running on a Simrad NSS evo2 multifunction display.

StructureScan 3D delivers a stunningly detailed underwater perspectives that can be rotated and explored in real-time; this hands-on demonstration shows the ease with which the virtual point-of-view angle can be manipulated via the NSS evo2 touchscreen.

StructureScan 3D imaging will be available on existing NSS evo2 and NSO evo2 multifunction displays, by installing the new StructureScan 3D module and Skimmer® transducer. These are due to be released in late 2015, pricing to be announced.

StructureScan 3D imaging scans underwater terrain and fish-holding structure to create a high-resolution, 180-degree, three-dimensional view beneath your vessel.  With this unique imaging view, anglers gain a better understanding of where fish and structure are located in relation to their vessel.

The picture-like, three-dimensional views are displayed on the Simrad NSS evo2 and NSO evo2 echosounders/chartplotters, when used in combination with the SideScan 3D Skimmer® transducer and StructureScan® 3D module. Visit the website here
