Winter Fish number two has been and gone. A great sized group of fishos turned up at Himatangi as planned and took a very short time to decide that the weather and ocean conditions were not supportive of even the smallest chance of enjoying the day. Collective decision was made and all shifted to the river mouth at Foxton where the group quickly had about 20 lines in the water.
Not that the fishing was any better!! Great to see new members involved and this type of fish together gave everyone the chance to share fishing stories and tackle ideas. Four fish were weighed in. One kahawai for Vincent Iwikau, one red cod for Colin Ransom and two herrings for Sarah Ransom. Well done guys and girls - that gets some points on the board.
