Seafresh changes hands

Lim Family Holdings has sold 56% of its troubled Seafresh fishing company. Seafresh director Peng Lee Lim said that they had been trying to sell its stake in the company for some time.

The sale has come about from significant losses for the company in recent years including a $6.8 million dollar loss in 2001. The company which fishes outside New Zealand’s 200km exclusive zone to avoid quotas also lost a boat in 2000 off the Chatham Islands.
